£19,988 – £21,944 (pro rata for part-time) + £30 sleepover payment

Are you studying for a social care qualification and have time over the summer period to gain invaluable experience working with children and young people in a small residential setting? Do want a role that can have a direct impact on the lives of children and young people in Scotland?

Care Visions has an exciting opportunity for RESIDENTIAL CHILD CARE WORKERS to join our dedicated team to complement our existing team over the summer months. This will give you valuable experience in a social care setting to enhance your studies.

These positions will be based in our services throughout Scotland and can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis on a fixed term contract to those who are passionate about working with and caring for children and young people.

Using the Sanctuary Model, we offer a creative, trauma informed perspective to the way we care. Our approach is underpinned by a belief that children and young people can recover from trauma and loss. Our role is to help them move on to lead fulfilling lives. Our direct care supports them on their journey toward recovery.

As part of the care team, you will consistently provide a high-quality care experience for children and young people, and maintain a high standard of individual practice consistent with National Standards and Codes of Practice.

All successful candidates will:

    • show a passion for working with children and young people and want to make a difference,
    • have a full driving licence is compulsory for this position as you will be required to transport children and young people to destinations such as Family contact, School and other social activities.
    • will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure check (cost met by employer) and full references will be taken.

Shift work and sleepovers are a vital part of the role and provide a great opportunity for a good work life balance, a typical shift comprises of 16 hours plus sleepover, (10am-11pm, sleep, 7am-10am).
