What Happens If Children Stop Believing They Belong? - Steve Chalke

In this powerful conversation, Humphrey Hawksley speaks with Steve Chalke, founder of Oasis and one of the UK's most influential voices on education, youth development and social reform.

The discussion explores why child poverty, school exclusion and exploitation continue to rise, despite decades of policy interventions. Steve shares the story of "Billy", a young boy groomed into criminal exploitation after losing his father, and explains how a lack of connection and community can leave children vulnerable to gangs, violence and organised crime.
