Dr Andrew G. Thomas is a psychologist, researcher and commentator specialising in male identity, social development and the psychological wellbeing of boys and young men. His work explores how cultural narratives, online environments and relational experiences shape male development, particularly during adolescence and early adulthood.

Drawing on research, clinical insight and frontline engagement, Dr Thomas examines themes such as masculinity, belonging, mental health, digital influence and the risks associated with social isolation and identity-based online communities. He is particularly interested in how professionals, families and care systems can foster healthier pathways for boys through relationship-led, compassionate and evidence-informed practice.

Through speaking, writing and research, Dr Thomas contributes to ongoing conversations around gender, wellbeing and the evolving social contexts shaping young men’s lives.
