Gaming Community & Events Lead (Freelance/Ad Hoc)
We're looking for a passionate gamer to help us create and run gaming experiences for young people in foster care and residential care across Scotland.
This is a flexible freelance, ad hoc role for someone who understands gaming culture and wants to use it to create positive experiences, build community and support young people to connect and build confidence.
Role Details
- Freelance / Ad Hoc
- Approximately 10 hours per month
- £15.00 per hour
- Remote online with the possibility of in-person events
- Scotland-based preferred but not essential.
You'll help us:
- Design gaming activities, events and competitions
- Host online and in-person gaming sessions
- Create engaging tournaments, leagues and challenges
- Advise on suitable games, platforms and equipment
- Support young people to participate safely and confidently
- Build a positive and inclusive gaming community
- Bring fresh ideas and keep us connected to gaming culture and trends
- Act as a positive role model and mentor
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Have a genuine passion for gaming
- Understand gaming culture and online communities
- Are confident communicating with groups
- Have creative ideas for gaming events and activities
- Are reliable, approachable and enthusiastic
- Are willing to undergo a DBS/PVG check
Experience in streaming, esports, Discord communities, tournament organisation, content creation, coaching or mentoring would be welcomed but is not essential.
