Residential Service Manager

What will you be doing?

As our Residential Service Manager, you will lead and inspire a committed staff team within a nurturing, caring and relational culture. You will champion high standards of practice to ensure children receive exceptional, trauma‑informed support. 

You won't be working in isolation. Our Killearn service is part of a connected cluster of residential services, giving you access to a strong network of peer support, shared expertise and collaborative leadership. You'll join a group of experienced Managers who meet regularly, problem‑solve together and offer practical and emotional support when needed. This structure ensures you're never alone in facing challenges and can draw on a wealth of knowledge to continually strengthen the service and outcomes for young people. 

Working hours are 37 per week, Mon – Fri (with rotational out of hours, duty management responsibilities including weekends. You will be part of group of on-call managers with support from a senior duty manager).

Who are we looking for?

You will bring:

  • At least 2 years' experience in Residential Child Care or a relevant management/leadership role.
  • Professional qualifications in Social Work/Social Care. SVQ in Social Services (Children & Young People) at SCQF Level 9 or SVQ Leadership and Management for Care Services at SCQF Level 10 (desirable).
  • A collaborative approach with experience working alongside multi‑agency professionals.
  • Flexibility to participate in the on‑call rota.
  • A full driving licence due to the travel requirements of the role.
