In August 2024, we were delighted to come together and celebrate as a community on the 20th anniversary of one of our services in the Central Region. Over the years this has been the home to a number of young people, and it was a pleasure and privilege to have some of them back visiting for the event.

Those that attended were welcomed with the houses’ current young residents planning the event and putting on a fantastic spread of food, decorations and entertainment.

The day was the finale of their summer activities, following on from hiking trips, contests, regional fun days, and wild water swimming.  

Many former staff came for the anniversary event, continuing important relationships with young people and other staff.        
                                                                                                               
One of our Residential Service Managers, Sharon, who oversaw the activities had this to say about the celebration, “Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate our anniversary. It was a fantastic day, we reminisced, we told stories, the food was good and the day was brilliant.”
