Due to continued business growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Residential Childcare Worker to join one of our teams in the Stirling area.


What will you be doing?

The main function of this role is to take on the responsibility for providing individualised care to young people, through the development of professional and effective relationships.


You will work in a positive, respectful and empowering way with all young people in order to promote good relationships and encourage achievement while being a positive role model.

What do we need from you?


  • An understanding of the principles of safeguarding and Child Protection legislation
  • A good understanding of the role of a Residential Childcare Worker along with knowledge of the basic needs of children and young people
  • Experience in dealing with challenging situations
  • The ability to form professional and positive relationships with children and young people
  • Commitment to the principle of continuing professional development and working towards achieving necessary qualifications
  • Experience of working with young people in either a professional or voluntary capacity.
  • From time to time, there may be a requirement for physical interventions it is intrinsic to this role that you should be in good physical health and have a high level of emotional resilience.
  • A valid manual driving licence is an essential requirement as you may have to drive young people to various activities (unfortunately if you do not have this then we can’t progress your application)
  • Please note this position is also subject to a PVG check.
